What's in a name?

Gulliver stems from the protagonist 'Gully Foyle' from Alfred Bester's The Stars My Destination. Xerxes is in honour of the Persian king 486 to 465 BC. Conroy is Morgan's maternal grandfather's surname.

Super

More phantom than superman perhaps! ;)

Serious bizness

Poor little tacker has a cold and is teething. Still makes us laugh though! Also, look at those curls! More curly-haired pictures to come.

How things work

Gully likes toys alright, but what really excites him is getting behind, beneath and into things and figuring out how they work... not like his papa at all! ;)

Toast

What's even cuter about this photo is that it was taken soon after Gully and I were lying down together and he was feeding me buttery toast and giggling. One of my favourite moments of being a parent so far.

Fishing

Today we visited "The Corner" at the Queensland State Library. It's a kid section that is thematically linked to the library's exhibitions. Today the theme was Torres Strait Islanders. So, lots of fish!

What's this? A catchy-meshy-thing-on-a-stick?

Hmmm, I guess I'll see what I can catch...

...Oooh, something's pulling pretty hard.

Easy, easy.

Ahhh, a mighty chewing fish!

The people on the bus go into town

New skills

Kuala Lumpur tiger is fast becoming Gully's comfort toy. Also, washing baskets are barrels of fun!

Rolling is now the order of the day: Front to side, back to side, side to front, side to back. Gully's also rotating around and quasi-crawling backwards.

Concentrating on a new elephant/monkey train toy

Serious business! We must be teething based on that drool.

Gully was 74cm long and 10.2kg at today's 6 month check up at child health both >98th percentile. But, his head circumference is at the 50th percentile.

Cat!

Cat!!!

Now, where's your cat then?

Front facing in the car

Today daddy turned Gully's car seat around to be front-facing. What an exciting new phase! Gully appreciated being treated like a grown-up for a change. ;)

Fast sleep after enjoying some delicious Singaporean food. We all love cassava kuih!

Loving fruit

Every meal Gully just loves to eat watermelon, paw paw, kiwi fruit, apple, or any other fruit you can put in front of him. He used to eat a little bit like the cookie monster, but each day more goes in as he learns to chew.
